Investigating play throughout time
Investigate the theory and science behind play as the key learning and development component for children of all ages from infancy to school age. Through play children make sense of their world and their experiences, try out ideas and gain the social, emotional and communication skills that will support them throughout life.
Participants in this session will:
- Reflect on the when, what, how and why of play
- Look at play for the contemporary child and family
- Identify and understand play cues, stages and skills to support children in their development.
