Online Child Safety Training
Gowrie Training & Consultancy offer online training through our agreement with In Safe Hands to support education and care services access affordable quality child protection training on an ongoing basis. This online training is available for completion anytime of the day of night. Anyone can enrol and complete the course at their own pace and in their own time.
The online workshop is a practical and valuable experience that will support services with respect to the National Quality Framework.

Customised Face to Face Training
We have experienced consultants available to provide customised training. Training is flexible to meet your needs and can be delivered within your service environment or utilising our training facilities. Child Safety topics are contextualised in consultation with you.
Examples of focus areas include:
- mandatory reporting
- introduction to protective behaviours
- creating child safe environments
- all children being safe
Online and customised child safety training addresses:
- National Law, Sections 166 – 167. The approved provider must ensure that all educators and staff at the service who work with children are aware of the current child protection law in the provider’s jurisdiction and understand their obligations under that law. It is also an offense under the National Law to subject a child being educated and cared for by an approved service to any form of corporal punishment, or any discipline that is unreasonable in the circumstances.
Regulation 84 – Awareness of child protection law
The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that nominated supervisors and staff members at the service who work with children are advised of—(a) the existence and application of the current child protection law; and(b) any obligations that they may have under that law.
